Waxing Menu

Before Your Appointment

Let hair grow to about a quarter inch (2–3 weeks — no tweezing in between). Pause retinol, tretinoin, and exfoliating acids for 5–7 days before facial waxing. Arrive with clean skin if you can, though we always cleanse the area first. Recently used Accutane, had a chemical peel, or have a sunburn in the area? Tell us when booking — waxing compromised skin is a hard no, and we'd rather reschedule than damage your skin.

After Your Wax

For 24 hours: skip makeup on the waxed area, hot yoga, saunas, and direct sun. Any pinkness settles within an hour or two for most clients. From day two, light exfoliation a couple of times a week keeps regrowth ingrown-free. Waxing regularly on a 3–5 week cycle trains growth into a cleaner pattern — which is exactly why brow clients become standing-appointment clients.

Waxing FAQs

How long does facial waxing last?

Typically 3–5 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular appointments, many clients find regrowth comes in sparser and softer over time.

How long does hair need to be before waxing?

About a quarter inch — roughly 2–3 weeks of growth. If it's too short the wax can't grip; resist the urge to tweeze between appointments and your results will be cleaner.

Can I get waxed if I use retinol or tretinoin?

Pause retinoids for at least 5–7 days before facial waxing — they thin the surface layer of skin, and waxing over it can lift skin, not just hair. If you're on prescription tretinoin or have used Accutane recently, tell us at booking and we'll advise honestly, even if the honest answer is "not yet."

Will my skin be red afterward?

A little pinkness for an hour or two is normal, especially for first-timers. We finish with a calming, post-wax product, and most clients are photo-ready the same day. Book at least 24–48 hours before a big event to be safe.
